Transforming your plans into reality.
Since September 2014 I have been offering marketing support, event management and business support services. This work has involved me in projects as diverse as mentoring and supporting emerging artists, and other creative organisations across a range of marketing branding and product development issues to promotional support for an agricultural firm.
I enjoy working with other businesses and individuals enabling them to transform their plans into reality. A flexible freelance working pattern enables me to offer clients support when they need extra capacity, leaving business owners and leaders free to concentrate on the things only they can do.
Recent projects include project coordination for Arty Party's film The Cabinet of Secret Lives, managing the production of the annual ASSITEJ International magazine for 2016, Delegate Communications for On the Edge The World Festival of Theatre for young audiences, 2 years as a marketing consultant for Creative Shift and various business support projects for Birmingham Hippodrome.
Enabling people to make transformations, communicate and realise plans, establish brand with a practical can do approach and a keen eye for a strong visual aesthetic have been key strengths throughout my working life. I have a background of 30 years’ experience in arts and event management in creative and production roles including producing, marketing, branding and promotions. Over a period of 20 years as Co-Artistic Director of the specialist mask theatre company Trading Faces and subsequently over five years as Administrative Producer at Pentabus Theatre, I generated marketing strategy, sold work, built audiences, developed contacts and established new income streams.
You can also find out about the marketing support I can offer you on my marketing page here. Some examples of business support services and tours I have managed follow below: For more information or to talk to me about your project support needs contact me here.

Project Coordinator for Film Installation
The Project A Cabinet of Secret Lives was complex, involving the marketing, management, production and touring of films and a digital installation. The project involved working with a wide range of people and companies including learning disabled artists, film crews, theatres, local groups and design companies. My role involved social media, prop and location sourcing, makeup recruitment, liaison with venues and accommodation.
"Thomasina was positive, well organised, committed, and efficient in her role. She was a great team member, supportive, trustworthy and enjoyable to work with. Throughout the project Thomasina worked to a high professional standard, determined to reach goals set, while being patient, understanding of creative processes which were intrinsic to the success of this project."

As Managing Editor of the ASSITEJ Magazine 2016 I was the UK contact for the publication working group and intermediary between the ASSITEJ International editors and the Shrewsbury based designer 21st Century Design. The publication had to be produced in line with the format of previous years and included articles in 14 languages. Distribution on completion was also part of the brief. "We recently worked with Thomasina as an advisor on setting up our limited company and registering as a charity. It was invaluable to work with her and have the security of having her knowledge, experience and expertise. She has a warm and approachable manner and we felt that we could ask her anything, no matter how trivial we thought it was! She is an efficient and quality driven worker- making the process of incorporation clear, quick and easy for us, we couldn’t have done it without her." Jo Gleave Co-Artistic Director Tin Box Theatre

Mentoring:
"Thomasina has been absolutely great as a mentor. She assessed our situation and listened carefully to our hopes and aspirations. From this she devised a really effective plan. In addition she has given me lots of advice and handy tips based on her years of experience. I feel like we have had very good value for money because of how well she structured the time and I feel really empowered with a new set of skills. We will definitely work with Thom again in the future." Claire Coache, Artistic Director - Open Sky |
